As stage 2 of the Hunter Valley Equine Centre masterplan, the spectators and patrons areas and race day stalls revitalised the provincial racing centre's facilities.

The new Patrons Facilities and Race Day Stalls have been constructed to service a new state of the art race track, completed in 1992. Built to facilitate up to 5,000 spectators and 120 horses, the building is nestled into the embankment overlooking the track and is constructed of a steel frame, timber infill with a metal deck roof.
