Established in 1984 by Timothy Court following 14 years experience
with large corporate practices in Australia, UK and USA, the firm has grown
progressively, concentrating on commercial projects with an emphasis on the
Equine Industry and Sporting Club Facilities.
During this period of growth the firm has been engaged by many of major players
within the Australian Racing Industry and more recently become deeply involved
with the many organisations that combine to organise and run major, world standard
Equestrian events.
The firm now comprises of a young energetic team of computer literate, qualified
architects that have a true passion for the equine industry and the ability
to analyse and produce a world standard design solution within site, time and
budget constraints.
TC&Co uses "state of the art" computer CAD packages that enable
clients to see interactive virtual reality models of the design both during
and on completion of the design process, thus ensuring a full comprehension
of design proposals prior to construction.( No more surprises.) With the vast
scope of equine orientated work that has been completed since the firms inception
Timothy Court and Company is now considered one of the most experienced equine
designers in the world with both local and international knowledge and hands
on experience of all matters equine.
The company's many years of association with one of Australia's leading Race
Track designers has meant that an integrated working relationship has developed
that combines leading edge track and civil technology with sympathetic and ecologically
sustainable design solutions to be developed that resolve the numerous environmental
and aesthetic problems of large scale civil and construction projects.
This team was selected out of 40 other design teams to be engaged to design,
document and provide construction supervision for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Equestrian
Venue with this work including the design assistance and documentation of International
Designers, cross country course by Michael Etherington-Smith and competition
surfaces by Herman Duckek.
More recently TC&Co have been engaged as equestrian and ractrack design
consultants to advise one of four Greek Consortiums bidding for the New Athens
Racetrack and 2004 Olympic Equestrian Centre.
Throughout all projects the firm has a policy of ensuring the personal involvement
of its managing director Timothy Court who has a extensive knowledge of the
specialised requirements of both the Racing and Equestrian industries and a
highly developed skill of communication and negotiation with the many stakeholders
of both industries. This knowledge and skill when combined with his hands-on
experience in the running of a large equestrian centre translates to a design
solution that not only is functionally and economically viable but is friendly
and safe for horses and people.
